Print FAQ

How do I place an order?
You can place an order online and pay with Visa/Mastercard, or you can choose to fill out our paper orderform. To request an orderform, please contact us.

Where are my photos printed?
Mpix Lab is an online division of Miller's Professional Imaging. Miller's was founded in 1939, and is the largest professional photography lab in the United States. The company has production facilities in Pittsburg, Kansas and Columbia, Missouri. This lab provides uncompromising quality of prints and services and is the top choice for professional work and photos requiring the absolute best in digital printing.

What paper are my prints made on?
Kodak Professional Portra Endura E-Surface paper is the most popular premium paper. Accurate color, realistic saturation, excellent neutral flesh tone reproduction, and brighter colors are just a few of the attributes describing this paper. You will see improved color saturation and excellent skin-tone reproduction as well as brighter blues, cyan, purples, and reds. The standard longevity is 100 years in home display and 200 years in dark storage.

How will I know what my final print print will look like?
While we go to great lengths to make proof/preview images accurate, tilt-corrected, your images will be re-checked prior to printing to ensure accuracy and quality. The online proof is the most accurate representation (at a small scale) as to what your photo will look like.

I want to make sure my selected photo is cropped a particular way. What do I do?
If you have any special cropping preferences, please indicate so in special instructions section of the checkout screen, otherwise the image will be cropped to fit the desired print size so that the subject is centered horizontally and vertically as much as possible.

What sort of guarantee will I have that I will like the quality of my prints?
Marblehead Studios, along with Mpix offers a print quality guarantee as well as protection against orders arriving damaged or incomplete. If you have any problems with the order, contact us within 30 days and we will help you replace it free of charge.
